To Denii: I’m a girl, I got dolls for ages, and what I did was drown them in the sink. When I finally got a target practice set, well, let’s just say my cousins and I had a little “shooting party”, and that was so much more fun. No, I don’t like girls’ toys either.

Must be some distorted image of the female child’s psyche, or some over-wide generalisation. It doesn’t prove to be a practical problem, however, as you can easily buy a model gun from the boys’ section and give it to your niece.

None of them are as cool as my Teddy Bear. If that bear could talk–about all the games I played, books i’ve read. I’ve still got that bear, I got him for Christmas when I was 4 or 5.

Seriously, I had dolls & toy soldiers when I was a kid, long before Nerf & Barbie corvettes.

heck no, barbies beats nerf any day. what does a nerf gun do that a barbie corvette can’t? nerf guns shoot foam things, it would hurt a lot more if i you threw the barbie corvette at someone.
