Nerf War (Hostile Territory)

by admin

Our first film, Hostile Territory! This was our very first film, which accounts for the shaky camera, and bad quality. You could call it a very well done Nerf Gun War. Just wait to see Commando, what an improvement! Don't rate this as if it's our best work--trust me, its not. Only rate this for the effort we put into this 8 minute film..

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 3:46 pm

Thanks! It’s always great to here encouragement. I actually used a preset for the sniper but I could make a tutorial on how to make one and how to do blood if you want. I’m really busy right now though so it might take a while. Also, the guy in the TV was not thru fxhome, it was an effect from my second editing program PowerDirector.

5 OUTTA 5! great work pure line, just work on costumes which wasnt a big deal. I LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS, if you could i really really hope you could make a tutorial on how to do the sniper thing and the blood splats. and i would also love a tutorial on how you made the guy in a tv, that was sick. IF YOU DID THESE ID TELL ALL MY FRIENDS TO SUBSCRIBE.

BennysProductions August 10, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Oh ok Thanks! Btw, I may need your help with mine again.

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 5:52 pm

I used Visionlab Studio, which is similar but cAn do more.

BennysProductions August 10, 2010 at 6:18 pm

Did you use EffectsLab for the effects?

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Its not that great, but I have a friend who modded his and holy $h!t!!! It shoots 50 feet–no joke.

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 7:27 pm

Thanks!! Even though we are using nerf guns, we try and keep it realistic. This was our first movie–I’ve gotten much better at effects, so I am working on a Remastered version of this.

rexnor598 August 10, 2010 at 7:56 pm

well atleast u can act and have blood on people who get shot

Youwolf77 August 10, 2010 at 8:24 pm

Dude that was a sickening sight of dead bodies! Nice! I really wish I could be able to make such a realistic movie. Those other nerf gun videos with no good guy getting injured sucks. Those signify nonreal life. In war there will always be good guys who die right before our eyes! So I say 5 out of 5 stars! Well done gentlemen

basglood August 10, 2010 at 8:46 pm

4.5 quite nice special effects but its not very like ok with adults whose children l ike nerf about the part someone said “bastard” so yah the rest is cool

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 9:32 pm

Your lightsaber looked pretty good! Try to start with simple neon light going across the screen or just muzzle flashes. Lightswords are actually pretty tricky to do; I’m not particularly good at them.

illidaiana August 10, 2010 at 9:49 pm

You are lucky i will never be able to buy that, i might as well give up on FX i suck at them.

nerfer98 August 10, 2010 at 10:10 pm

the recon’s ok and i’m holding mine rit now……….

PureLineStudios August 10, 2010 at 10:50 pm

Great! You can see the trailer for our upcoming movie, Commando, on my channel, and we will be creating a website which will show another movie, Operation Dreadnought :D

LarryLarge1 August 10, 2010 at 11:38 pm

Okey, that’s very good! I hoped you were gonna make more Nerf War vids, because you guys rock! ;) And yes, I’m gonna sub already now! ;)

PureLineStudios August 11, 2010 at 12:12 am

I’m glad you liked this. More will be coming out soon, so feel free to subscribe.

mrmapmaker88 August 11, 2010 at 1:23 am

that was cool i liked the end

PureLineStudios August 11, 2010 at 1:54 am

They are a variety of programs for editing out there; they all depend on your budget. If you have a low budget, I reccommend Effectslab, by fxhome. Its 100-200 $, depending on the version you get. Its quite good, and easy to uses. If you have a bigger budget ($500), Visionlab Studio, also by Fxhome, is a good choice. Its like effectslab, but more features. If you have a high budget, Adobe After Effects is great, but it cost about $1500. Combustion is also supposed to be good, but I don’t know.
