just make sure there is enough light. I went to one of these out in the woods and was fun at first not being able to see anything but it was impossible to play the game. We ended up having to drive everywhere in the truck looking for everyone who hadnt already given up and TRIED to find their way back to the house. Also make sure theres alot of good hiding places and bunkers.

That sounds like a fun party!
First off, you need to make your backyard (or wherever you’re having the party) look like a war-zone.
Try either making or buying something that can look like sandbag barricades along the front line.
Second, you’ll need two bases for each team (or if there are a lot of kids, three or four bases for more teams). This is where they can come to reload their guns when they run out of darts. You could also keep things like water bottles and snacks in there too.
Third, you’ll need places where they can hide behind and try to shoot eachother. If you have tree or bushes where the party is, they’ll work but if you don’t have any of those maybe you can cover some chairs in a brown or green blanket to attempt to blend it in.
Lastly (optional), you’ll need a way to determine which team wins. Have each team have something that the other team will try to capture (like capture the flag). Then once they have captured the other teams flag, they could bring it to either their base or have them bring it to the “front lines” to show they’ve won
Have each team have about 5 kids on it and then divide that by the number of kids coming to the party. You could either have them name the teams whatever they want or if your son is a fan of Call of Duty or another war video game, you could name the teams names from the game.
